Energy Sector Projects
KEM was selected to provide a transportation study for the Black Fork Wind Farm Project located in Crawford and Richland Counties. The project includes construction of approximately 91 wind turbines encompassing a 50 square mile area. KEM completed a study of the public roadway system within the project boundaries to: identify existing features which would restrict movements of oversized vehicles; identify potential impacts to the roadway; perform load rating analysis of the structures; determine existing pavement conditions and buildups; address concerns and issues from both County Engineer's Offices regarding roadway infrastructure; and develop recommendations for construction access to the project.
KEM was selected to provide a transportation study which involves determination of potential impacts and identification of improvements needed for the local roadway system to accommodate anticipated construction and long term operations traffic for site access.
