Imperial Estates Storm Water Improvement Projects

Imperial Estates Storm Water Improvement Projects

Client:
Location: Richland County, Ohio

Description:
KEM provided preliminary design and final construction documents along with construction administration services. As part of said services, KEM prepared cost estimates and applications used to secure OPWC funding and developed assessment methodology as necessary to secure gap funding for the project. The work included analysis and design of upgrades for the existing storm sewer system which serves approximately 270 homes in Mifflin Township, Richland County, Ohio. The analysis and design also included a study of the existing Imperial Treatment Facility lagoon to determine capacity and associated costs to utilize the abandoned lagoon for storm water retention. KEM then designed the modifications required to convert the lagoon into a detention / water quality basin for the Imperial Estates development which had no previous storm water management. KEM represented the project at several public hearings and met with property owners individually as needed to discuss the proposed improvements and acquire the necessary easements for construction.
