Middle Avenue Improvements

The Middle Avenue roadway improvements in the City of Elyria included installation of new median curbs, pavement repairs, asphalt resurfacing, and replacement of the traffic signals at four intersections. Another critical element was the installation of fiber optic cable, linking new traffic signals at four intersections. In addition, 52 decorative street lights were installed in the curbed median area along with stamped decorative concrete for all pedestrian crosswalks with ADA compliant curb ramps. This highly visible roadway improvement was completed on time and within the allocated budget with KEM providing construction administration, inspection, and testing services.
