SR 57 Reconstruction

This Local Let Project was administered under full Federal Highway Administration and ODOT oversight; the work on this 5.2-miles of four-lane divided roadway reconstruction around the east side of Elyria included pavement rehabilitation, reconstruction of seven signalized intersections, new highway lighting, drainage improvements, major structure work, and extensive landscaping. The pavement portion of the project was originally planned in three phases over a two-year period. However, KEM worked with the contractor to have the pavement installed and opened to traffic at the end of year one.
