KEM Employee Spotlight – Matt Dawson
This spring quarter employee spotlight goes out to Matt Dawson. Matt is a senior survey and drafting technician, which includes using survey equipment and engineering software for preparation of base maps, right of way plans, and survey drawings. He started working at KEM in August 2017 and stated that working here has given him the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. Matt was asked what his favorite thing about working at KEM is, to which he responded, “They always provide us with top-notch equipment in the field/office, and everyone is always willing to help when there is a problem to be solved.” The opportunity to provide for his family and to serve others is what motivates him to get up and go to work each day. Matt’s favorite project he has worked on so far has been the Loften Henderson Bridge Inspection because the job requires a handful of people to complete and is a little more daunting than most jobs. Something most people don’t know about Matt is that he loves road cycling and he participates annually in an impressive 200-mile group ride over the span of two days. KEM loves having Matt Dawson on our team!
