Employee Spotlight – Tim Weber
We are delighted to shine the spotlight on Tim Weber, a dedicated Transportation Engineer at our Mansfield headquarters. Tim specializes in designing roadway and bridge projects, and he has been an invaluable member of the KEM team since Spring 2020. Reflecting on his journey, Tim shared that joining KEM has had a tremendous impact on his professional life. In 2021, he achieved a significant milestone by obtaining his PE license, and he has continued to grow as an engineer ever since.
When asked about his motivation, Tim emphasized the importance of working on projects that positively impact our communities. He finds it incredibly rewarding to see the tangible results of his efforts, stating, “It is exciting to drive past projects every day that I helped work on and to know that they are making a positive impact on people’s lives.”
One of Tim’s favorite projects to date is the B&O Connector Trail to Trimble Road in Mansfield, which is set to be constructed later this year. “We designed this trail through what is now nothing but an open field and woods. Instead of replacing existing facilities, it was cool to see a project created from a blank slate. I’m excited to see this project completed and to ride the new trail,” he explained.
Tim describes KEM as “a family-oriented business that cares about the communities we live in and wants to help make them safer. We have a lot of fun working together and creating quality projects for our clients.” He particularly appreciates the camaraderie among his colleagues, noting, “The owners and coworkers are amazing, and they are what makes it fun going to work every day.”
Outside of his professional role, many might be surprised to learn that Tim is also the gym owner of Anvil Athletic Club in Lexington. Beyond work and the gym, Tim’s biggest commitment is to his family, including his wife, Johanna, and their new baby, Graham. Tim’s enthusiasm and dedication make him a joy to work with, and we are thrilled to have him as part of the KEM family!
