KEM was hired as the City of Ontario Engineer in 2015. As City Engineer, part of our responsibilities include the review and approval of all stormwater plans for public and private work within the city limits. KEM also completed an overhaul of their existing stormwater program to bring the city into compliance with Ohio EPA’s MS4 General Permit. This included a stormwater management program, development of an Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination Program, Operation and Maintenance Program, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans for the municipal facilities within the MS4. KEM also provided major revisions to the city Stormwater Management and Erosion Control Ordinances. In addition, KEM field services included GIS mapping of the existing storm system, Dry Weather Screenings, and Illicit Discharge Tracings.
