Richland Co – US Route 30

Bridge substructure widening and superstructure replacement was designed by KEM for ODOT District 3. The new 3-span (56’, 70’, 56’) superstructure is on a tangent alignment with a 10.5° skew. The superstructure is composed of continuous composite steel beams supporting a reinforced concrete deck. The substructure consists of semi-integral abutments and cap and column piers, each supported by multiple rows of piles. Part width staged construction was utilized to maintain traffic during the project.
