Richland Co – State Route 97

KEM recently completed highway design and right-of-way plans for the widening of S.R. 97 in the Village of Bellville for ODOT District 3. The principal project objective was to widen the road to three lanes with asphalt pavement and combination curb and gutter. Other project components included the installation of a storm sewer system, traffic signal upgrades, and radius improvements to intersecting streets and I.R. 71 ramps. Driveways were reconfigured utilizing access management techniques and the Kochheiser Road intersection was realigned to provide a significantly safer perpendicular alignment. KEM also coordinated public involvement, environmental work, and utility coordination.
