Winter 2025 – Employee Spotlight
Employee Spotlight – Mary Troupe
For the Winter Quarter KEM’s employee spotlight goes to Mary Troupe! Mary started as an intern at KEM in December of 2022 and returned to full time this past June as a Project Engineer. Mary’s drive to reach her personal, professional, and financial goals is what motivates her to get up and go to work each day. So far at KEM, the Lorain 611 Bridge Inspection and Rehabilitation has been her favorite project to work on. It provided a great learning opportunity, and the experience gained included attending progress meetings, being present during the inspection, reviewing original plans, and helping with the development of deliverables. When asked what her favorite thing about working at KEM is, Mary said, “The ability to be exposed to a variety of projects early in my career with a lighthearted working environment and a community of people always willing to help and answer questions.” In Mary’s words, “KEM is a small family business in the fields of planning, engineering, and surveying with focuses on innovation, efficiency, and furthering community development.”
Something that most people don’t know about Mary is that she’s an avid outdoors woman with a goal of visiting every national park in the United States. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, playing flute and piano, watching heist movies, going to the gym, and spending time with friends and family. Mary brightens up the office, and we are lucky to have her as part of our team!
