Spring 2026 – Project Spotlight
Sheffield Village – Berkeley Drive Pavement Reconstruction: Phase 1

KEM’s Role:
Funding Assistance • Surveying • Engineering & Plan Development • Bidding & Award • Construction Administration
KEM is proud to partner with Sheffield Village on the Phase 1 reconstruction of Berkeley Drive, a project that strengthens neighborhood infrastructure and improves long‑term roadway performance.
With KEM’s support, the Village successfully secured competitive funding through the OPWC Small Government Program, helping move this much‑needed improvement from concept to construction. In 2025, our team completed detailed surveys, developed the construction plans and bid documents, and guided the Village through a smooth bidding and award process.
The project includes the reconstruction of approximately 4,000 square yards of 8-inch non‑reinforced concrete pavement, along with 2,800 feet of new 3‑A curb and 600 square yards of 6-inch driveway aprons. Additional improvements such as underdrains, casting adjustments, aggregate base, and site restoration ensure the roadway will serve residents reliably for years to come.
The contract was awarded to PMC Concrete for $509,994.50, and construction is now underway with an anticipated completion in May 2026. KEM continues to support the Village by administering the construction contract and monitoring progress throughout the project.
This collaboration reflects KEM’s commitment to delivering high‑quality infrastructure solutions—from funding assistance through final construction.
